Amber Cross was founded in 1994 by Katherine Larkout of a passion to help others. Since this time, she has been dedicated to helping train and certify over 10,000 people in the skills to potentially save someone’s life.

Mrs. Lark also has vast experience working with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and helping others nationwide during many natural disasters.

Joe Nofo is the President of Amber Crossand is motivated by helping others improve their safety knowledge. He thrives on working with people and building connection.He served 24 years in the military where he honed his First Aid and CPR training.

This 3-5 hour course is ideal for emergency response teams, safety personnel, supervisors, individuals requiring certification and the public. Available in the classroom or online, this course teaches participants how to recognize a medical emergency, handle breathing and cardiac emergencies, sustain life until professional help arrives, prevent disease transmission and care for sudden illness and injuries.

This 3-5 hour course has been adapted from the NSC First Aid, CPR & AED course to meet the special needs of infants and children. Participants gain hands-on training and confidence to respond to a variety of pediatric emergencies. Ideal for childcare providers, early childhood educators, youth organizations, individuals requiring certification

Basic Life Support

NSC Basic Life Support is an in-depth 5-6 hours course for health care providers and emergency response teams focuses on immediate life-threatening situations and demonstrates how to respond quickly and effectively. Participants learn how to assess a victim’s condition, basic life support including breathing, cardiac emergencies, and CPR airway obstruction, as well as how to use an AED effectively.

The ideal course for those who have anticipated exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Participants learn the fundamentals of bloodborne pathogens, information on hepatitis viruses and HIV. This course teaches how to prevent infection and about airborne pathogens like tuberculosis.
